of little concentric muses…

the town hall is one of the many Victorian remnants of Mumbai, the Greco-Roman massif now cluttered in the irate buzz of library wardens… 




a pleasant surprise turned out to be an unassuming little marker on the bottom corner of the staircase, a datum line indicating a value of around 28 meters, a metre higher than the mean high tide levels based on which most of the buildings in the city are plinthed…
